To begin let's talk through the top 3 trending outfits for getting ready - their PROS and their CONS!
1.Robes
Robes Pros
Very feminine and lacy
More elegant than a pajama set or flannels
Super easy to change in and out of
Robes Cons
They ride up, and bridesmaids often constantly have to pull them down
They do not do well if you take photos outside (because of wind - it only takes a little to flash everyone!!)
You can't lean down in them in photos together because they go very low (boobies)!
Just a bit uncomfy for all those reasons
How to Conquer Robes
If you would like this look on your day, note the following for ease
Have bridesmaids bring spandex for underneath - I promise they will be much more comfy!
Honestly, a gentle sports bra is nice too - nothing that leaves marks tho - you don't want bra marks on your shoulders if you are wearing a strapless dress!
Plan to take indoor photos
2.Pajamas
Pajamas Pros
Cozy and cute vibes
Always button down style so they are good with quick changes
Very modest (no wind will take ahold of these fits!)
Comfy

Pajamas Cons
Not elegant
Sometimes it is just a pajama top worn with leggings - not as cute for photos
Not as flattering - may appear boxy
May be warm - if long-sleeved

How to Conquer Pajamas
Choose short-sleeved so no one overheats (it is always going to be warmer in your getting ready room than you think!)
Order tops & bottoms, the matching bottoms make a huge difference
Personalize the PJs (optional but super cute to have everyone's names on them!)
Lighter colors tend to look less boxy

3.Flannels
Flannels Pros
Very country-rustic vibes if that is your style they are a great pick!
Always button-up so easy changes (no hair smushing)
Fun color coordination (pictured below - flower girls & bride are wearing different colors and it coordinates so well)

Flannels Cons
Very warm - if you are having a summer wedding this is almost a complete no-no and even a winter wedding, the getting ready room will still be crowded and warm
Very limited applicability - This really only looks good vibe wise if it is a rustic wedding
No bottoms option - just leggings which is fine but still often looks uncoordinated
How to Conquer Flannels
Have a winter wedding!
Make sure your getting ready room is large/has good airflow so people won't overheat
Pick out a color for your bridesmaids, flower girls, and mothers that are all separate from each other for adorable pictures
Make sure your wedding vibes are country-rustic
Get fuzzy socks because it is adorable!

How to Ensure Everyone Remembers to Bring the Pajamas
Wedding day is so chaotic and there is always those one or two bridesmaids who forget to bring the outfit - no fault of their own really, they have a TON of things to remember!! So how do you ensure this does not happen?
When you order all the pajamas, ship them to your house and just bring them to the getting ready suite - have the girls change into them there
I once had a basketball coach who did not give us our uniforms until picture day - because that way none of us could forget them!
It is simple and streamlined and allows for all the girls to focus on everything else they need personally, besides the outfit!
Lastly, Will You Regret Not Having Matching Fits?
If matching outfits is not really your thing - that is okay, of course no one is forcing you. However, many brides who skip this step do end up regretting it.
Their photos and videos just look more chaotic and messy - it looks like it could be prom getting ready photos instead of a coordinated wedding if that makes sense.
The rooms are usually always messy anyways - makeup and clothes all around - so having matching outfits really takes your eye from the mess to the focus - you and the girls!
However, if you only have a couple of bridesmaids or just a maid of honor - just have them wear a solid color button up that coordinates well - no need to match!
