HOT TAKE: You should do a private first look (no cameras)!

In my opinion it comes down to two things: how comfortable are you both around cameras, and how important a video or photos of the first look is to you.
Private First Look (no cameras):
This might sound funny to you that I would pick a private first look - when my job is the wedding videographer - but that is how strongly I feel about its importance!!
I can capture SO many adorable videos of the two of you interacting and honest the first look videos do not usually look how you think they will.
Most men feel awkward in front of the camera and their first look remarks are audible, but not often expressed on their face very vividly. However, their reaction is in what they say and how it feels when they embrace and kiss you. That is best felt in person, it just is not very obvious on video or photo. There are usually so many nerves at play too that y'all are not quite comfortable in front of the cameras yet.
If you are willing to forego the couple photos and videos of this moment and want to avoid feeling nervous and awkward in front of the camera, do a private first look! Then, take all the photos and videos that will look SO cute once you have seen each other and have had a moment.
I know when I get married someday, I want to have a private first look - and my video is so important to me - I just do not need that moment on video! I just really want that moment to be purely between my partner and I for it to be experience in full without anyone else there.
Know what those moments are for you - and don't forget - you can have time alone together with your husband on your wedding day - it's your day! You do not have to go by the standard if you do not want to! Often brides that prioritize some moments alone with their spouse feel like their wedding day is even more special! Prioritize a few moments together alone - you will not regret it!
